On Friday morning, May 8, 2009, I laid in bed with eyes wide open, anxiously waiting for Brian to wake up. I was excited because today was the day I was going to take the test. When he finally woke up, I told him I wasn't going to wait another minute. I leaped out of bed and grabbed the pregnancy test that I had packed in my suitcase. This was our last day in Vegas, and 2 days after celebrating our nine year anniversary. It was the perfect revealing time.
He stayed in bed and I promised we would look at it together. We waited the 3 minutes and walked into the resort bathroom side by side. It only took us one quick glance to see the positive sign and then to hear Brian say, "Oh man, oh crap, oh man, oh crap..." And to hear my squeal of joy. I ran around the room cheering and he nervously went back to bed.
He was excited. He knows it's time, and I do too. I'm excited.
We'll be welcoming a new little one to our family the first week of January (assuming all goes well of course.)
I'm 12 weeks today. Can't wait to say goodbye to the first trimester. It's thrown some curve balls. But hopefully it's passing...
